Russian operators test private LTE/5G in Nornickel mine

Russian operators MTS and Megafon, in cooperation with Nokia, Ericsson and Huawei, have completed the pilot project on testing a private LTE/5G network in the Skalistiy mine of the company Nornickel. The tests used the 1,800 MHz and 2,600 MHz LTE bands and 28 GHz 5G spectrum held by Tele2 Russia.
