Rwanda to get first smartphone plant in the spring

A factory to produce smartphones is expected to open in Rwanda and enhance access to digital services, New Times reported. Paula Ingabire, the Minister for ICT and Innovation, said negotiations with Pan-African tech firm Mara Corporation to establish the plant are ongoing and that there are plans for the factory to start activities by April.
