SA competition watchdog approves Reunert buy of ECN

South Africa's Competition Tribunal has approved Reunert's acquisition of ECN Telecommunications without conditions, ITWeb reported. The Competition Commission earlier assessed the deal and concluded that it was unlikely to lead to a substantial lessening of competition and recommended the tribunal approve it. The value of the acquisition has not been disclosed. Reunert provides a range of telecoms services via unit Nashua Mobile. ECN provides inbound and outbound voice-calls and other network and data services. Reunert and ECN believe the deal will allow ECN to expand its footprint in South
