SABC cuts workforce by more than 600 from April

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has announced that it is shedding more than 600 employees as part of restructuring under its turnaround plan, MyBroadband reported. A Section 189 retrenchment process over nine months commenced in June 2020 and was due to conclude at the end of March. A new employee structure was to take effect on 01 April.
