SABC grants content rights to Viu, some titles to move from YouTube

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has signed a licence agreement with streaming video service Viu. Viu will gain exclusive digital rights to selected SABC titles as well as some premium library content for 24 months. A number of SABC programmes will move from YouTube to Viu, and Viu has secured Video On Demand (VOD) rights for eighteen South African shows.
