SABC switches channels to HD ahead of World Cup

South African public service broadcaster (PSB) SABC has switched its channels to high definition (HD) from standard definition (SD) ahead of the Fifa World Cup, which begins in Russia on 14 June. The broadcaster's SABC1 and SABC3 channels were set to be switched now, with SABC2 due to follow in July.
