SADC vows to meet 2016 DTT migration deadline

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries that are still using analogue broadcasting are committed to migrating to digital broadcasting by June 2016. SADC ICT and Postal Services Ministers held a meeting on 26 June in Namibia to chart the way forward, SAnews.gov.za reported. Chair of the SADC Council of Ministers responsible for ICT and Postal Services, Supa Mandiwanzira, congratulated SADC countries that have managed to meet the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) deadline of 17 June to migrate to digital broadcasting.
