Safaricom adds more public transport providers to M-Pesa cashless fares system

Kenyan operator Safaricom has extended its partnership with the public transport sector to facilitate cashless fare payments through M-Pesa, to combat the spread of the Coronavirus. Crew from all minibuses (matatus) that terminate at Nairobi's OTC terminus and which belong to the Matatu Transport Vehicles Association will start accepting fares through phone numbers.
