Safaricom and NCBA offer reprieve to M-Shwari loan customers because of Covid-19

Kenyan operator Safaricom and NCBA (formerly Commercial Bank of Africa) have agreed to defer M-Shwari late payment sanctions by 30 days, including roll-over fees, because of the coronavirus crisis. Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) listing of M-Shwari customers will be suspended for the next 90 days. NCBA and Safaricom will continue working with customers to ensure they can manage loan repayments.
