At least 230,000 Kenyans are using mobile operator Safaricom's healthcare app M-Tiba, representing a five-fold growth since the product was rolled out nationwide six months ago. M-Tiba allows users to save money that can be redeemed later to pay medical bills. M-Tiba rolled out nationally in September in 2016.
