Safaricom, Huawei introduce sensors for dairy farmers

Kenyan operator Safaricom has partnered with Huawei to develop sensors that will notify dairy farmers when it is ideal to inseminate their cows, in a bid to increase milk production, Business Daily reported. Through the device, which will be lodged in the cows' bodies, farmers will be able to track their animals' menstrual cycles through a digital database and schedule targeted insemination.
