Safaricom increases sponsorship for rugby tournament

Kenyan operator Safaricom's has boosted the annual Impala Floodies Rugby Tournament with a sponsorship of KES 3 million, up from 2018’s KES 1.8 million. The tournament, set to take place on three consecutive weekends, on 28 September, 05 October and 12 October, at Impala Grounds will be marking 38 years in 2019, while Blaze by Safaricom will be celebrating the fourth year in a row it has sponsored the competition. 

The Blaze sponsorship includes KES 1 million in cash, and an additional KES 2 million in airtime, prizes, pitch branding and the provision of a media centre. 

Blaze is a sub-brand of Safaricom created to provide youth of up to 26 years of age with products, services and benefits tailored specifically to meet their everyday needs.
