Safaricom mulls price review to support students, workers during coronavirus crisis

Kenyan operator Safaricom says it is considering lowering data tariffs for students and employees working from home after the government shut down schools and public offices. Chief customer officer Sylvia Mulinge says it has been approached by a section of learning and corporate institutions to lower their internet costs, to ensure both education and working continue.
