Safaricom network hitch disrupts services

Millions of Safaricom customers were unable to make calls after the mobile service provider experienced a technical hitch. Safaricom said it was having a technical issue that was affecting a number of core services on its network. The mobile operator, which has more than 26 million customers, said its technical team was working on resolving the hitch as soon as possible. It said services were coming back up progressively, and apologised for any inconvenience encountered.
