Safaricom offers 175,000 agents as coronavirus mask distributors

Kenyan operator Safaricom has offered its network of more than 175,000 agents as distribution points for masks and sanitisers to tackle Covid-19. Facing import shortages and huge demand, the government has embarked on mass production of hand sanitisers and masks through various agencies and institutions since the first case of the virus was reported in mid-March. Health Chief Administration Secretary Mercy Mwangangi said Safaricom has offered use of its agents.
