Safaricom overhauls management roles

Safaricom has made changes to its executive team. Sylvia Mulinge, whose appointment as Vodacom Tanzania managing director fell through for failure to obtain a work permit, will now be Chief Customer Officer (CCO), a newly created role. She will be in charge of consumer business, sales operations, customer care service, brand marketing and experience, and digital and market development.
