Safaricom still in talks with Vodafone on M-Pesa charges

Friday 4 March 2016 | 09:38 CET | News
Kenyan operator Safaricom still has not struck a deal with Vodafone on new M-Pesa royalty fees, nearly a year since they opened talks after the migration of M-Pesa servers from Germany, Business Daily reported. Relocating the servers to Kenya from Germany was expected to result in lower operating costs for Vodafone, to justify a cut in royalty fees payable annually. Safaricom completed the transfer in April 2015.
