Sagem Orga, Bekoz develop mobile payments system

Smart cards specialist Sagem Orga has signed a strategic partnership agreement with mobile money transfer company Bekoz Group. Under the terms of the contract, the two companies will offer a complete suite of services for secure mobile payment transactions. Targeting banks, mobile operators, financial service providers and consumer businesses, the Bekoz Mobile Money platform enables person-to-person payments, international money transfers, pre-pay transactions and mobile phone top-ups. The service leverages the Sagem Orga Sim based on Java card technology, and the centralised Bekoz service
