Tuesday 6 February 2018 | 11:05 CET | News

The software company Sagemcom has partnered with E.ON, one of Germany's leading energy firms, to host the Sagemcom Siconia EMT system in the data centre of Schleupen, IT services provider for the energy industry, as part of a project called "SPIRiT". Sagemcom's system will ensure data reception and processing including the reception and decryption of data, the allocation of data to customer and balancing groups, and data transmissions via market communication.

The system adapts continuously to E.ON's requirements, and it is hosted at an ISO 27001-certified data centre to guarantee high levels of data security. The "SPIRiT" project consists of several sub-projects that will be implemented over the next years using an agile project methodology, including one sub-project aiming to integrate the MDM system into E.ON's systems landscape to support its sales activities.
