Sahel countries plan free roaming project

Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Chad plan to put an end to roaming surcharges on cross-border calls for mobile customers travelling within the Sahel. The proposal was announced by G5 Sahel, which was created in 2014 to promote cooperation in economic development and security within the five participating countries.
