Samsung, America Movil sign LatAm 4.5G testing deal

Samsung and America Movil have announced an agreement to jointly develop a series of pioneering projects in the fields of 4.5G and the Internet of Things across Latin America. Under the terms of the deal the partners will jointly test 4.5G technologies using the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, and Galaxy S7 edge devices in countries such as Mexico and Puerto Rico. The trials will encompass a range of technologies, including VoLTE, VoWiFi, 4×4 MIMO, 256-QAM, and IoT.
