Samsung and German Football Association enter 3-year partnership

Thursday 17 May 2018 | 15:26 CET | News
Samsung Germany announced it will serve as the official technology partner of the German Football Association (DFB) as the German national team prepares for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The company said it will support the German men’s and women’s national teams as well as junior teams at the DFB’s academy in Frankfurt with its various technical know-how and a comprehensive marketing campaign under the slogan “Go for bigger goals”.

The partnership will initially last for three years, said Samsung. As part of the marketing campaign, Samsung will launch a platform on its website showing behind-the-scenes footage of the national team, offer select Samsung products in a limited DFB edition and release augmented-reality (AR) emojis featuring players from the national team for download.
