Samsung equips Galaxy S20 smartphone with Thales combined eSE/eSIM

Thales announced that Samsung's latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S20, is the first device on the market to feature its Connected eSE product, which combines an embedded secure element (eSE) and an embedded SIM (eSIM) in a single security chip. This enables manufactures to reduce the number of components in a device, saving valuable space while maintaining an advanced level of security.

Ok, but the carrier (AT&T) need to enable eSIM on the Samsung S20 phone before it can be used. To date, AT&T states the have not enable esim support for the S20. No dates when that will happen either. Misleading sales at AT&T and Samsung for esim support
