Samsung, KT launch commercial LTE eMBMS platform

Samsung Electronics and South Korean communications carrier KT have launched a commercial eMBMS (evolved Multimedia Broadcast and Multicast Service) for KT's LTE subscribers using the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Samsung partnered with KT to provide its eMBMS network equipment and services to support the service rollout. Dubbed 'Olleh LTE Play', the service is powered by Samsung's network equipment and has been adapted to KT's LTE network. To access the service, Galaxy Note 3 users should download a software upgrade. The new LTE eMBMS service can be accessed through the KT Olleh mobile IP TV
