Samsung leads Brazilian smartphone sales

Samsung dominates the Brazilian smartphone market with a 42.4 percent share of sales in 2012, according to a Gartner survey. LG was placed second with a 13.3 percent share, ahead of Apple with 9.1 percent, Nokia with 8.7 percent and Motorola with 8.2 percent. Other companies in the sector account for the remaining 18.3 percent. According to the research, Brazil currently has 55 million smartphones.
