Samsung, Motorola, Huawei top Mexico smartphone market in H1

Samsung, Motorola and Huawei continued to dominate the smartphone sector in Mexico in the second quarter of 2020, accounting for nearly 68 percent of total sales, according to data from The Competitive Intelligence Unit (CIU). The Korean manufacturer ended the first half of 2020 with 35.2 percent of the market, up 0.2 percent compared to H2 2019, having topped local sales for over 5 years. However, Motorola and Huawei are gradually catching up with the market leader, accounting for 18.7 percent (+3.1%) and 14.0 percent (+0.3%) of sales respectively.
