Samsung Pay handles USD 30 mln in first month in Korea

Samsung Electronics reports its mobile payment service has processed transactions of over USD 30 million in the first month since its launch in South Korea on 20 August. The platform is available for Samsung's high-end smartphones, including the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy Note 5. Samsung Pay supports NFC and magnetic secure transmission (MST) technology that works on traditional credit card machines.
