Samsung smartphones more popular with older users - Ofcom

Samsung smartphones are increasingly popular with older users in the UK, according to Ofcom's latest Communications Market Report. Around one quarter (23%) of those aged 16-24 have a Samsung phone, rising to 34 percent of those aged 55+. Two-fifths (41%) of UK smartphone owned have an iPhone. Despite the relatively high cost of these handsets, this increases to about half of younger smartphone users (50% of 16-24 year olds and 51% of 25-34 year olds).
