Samsung teams up with Brazilian banks for mobile payments

Samsung has reached an agreement with major banks and credit card companies to launch its digital payment system in Brazil at the end of 2016, reports O Globo. The partners include Banco do Brasil, Bradesco, Brasil Pre-Pagos, Caixa, Itau Unibanco, Nu Bank and Porto Seguro. Samsung Pay will also be compatible with major payment networks, including American Express, China UnionPay, MasterCard and Visa. Other major banks operating in Brazil are also part of the partnership, such as Santander.
