Samsung to bring in-memory processing power to mobile products

Samsung Electronics showcased its latest advancements with processing-in-memory (PIM) technology at the Hot Chips 33 semiconductor conference. Samsung announced the first successful integration of its PIM-enabled High Bandwidth Memory (HBM-PIM) into a commercialised accelerator system, and broadened its PIM applications to include DRAM modules and mobile memory, accelerating the move toward the convergence of memory and logic.
