Samsung to launch mobile payment system in Brazil

Samsung announced during the CES show in Las Vegas that it will launch its mobile payment system in Brazil, reports Folha de Sao Paulo. The South Korean company has not confirmed the exact date, only saying it will be "soon". The system will enable smartphone users to make make payments via their device. This is the first major player in the industry to launch the tool in Brazil, ahead of Google and Apple, which offer similar services abroad.
