Samsung to share 1,000 unused patents with SMEs

Samsung Electronics will share around 1,000 unused patents with local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Yonhap news agency reports, citing a local technology promotion agency. The Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology has announced it has launched a program to provide companies with free access to Samsung's 1,091 patents in the fields of electronics, displays, mobile devices, chips and telecom services.
