Samsung tops Spain phone sales in 2016, P8 Lite top device

Samsung remained the top-selling smartphone brand in Spain in 2016 as a whole, accounting for 24 percent of all devices sold, ahead of Huawei with 21 percent, local brand BQ with 12 percent, Apple with 8 percent and LG with 6 percent. However, the latest smartphone sales data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech revealed that the Huawei P8 Lite was the best-selling device in 2016, accounting for 6.2 percent of smartphone sales, followed by the Samsung Galaxy J5, the BQ Aquaris X5 and M5, and the iPhone 6s, the only Apple device in the top 10, with 2.4 percent of sales in 2016.
