Sanef, Sofico inaugurate Brussels-Paris fibre-optic link

Motorways operators Sanef and Sofico have announced the completion of the fibre-optic link project providing a direct connection between Paris and Brussels. The telecoms arm of French group Sanef had been working on the remaining 58 kilometres of the project since October 2016, bringing to an end the link already laid on the Belgian side of the border by Sofico. The new fibre route will support several motorway management services, including those which rely on connected objects such as cameras, road panels and sensors.
