SAP could cut 4,400 jobs in restructuring scheme costing up to EUR 950 mln in bid to compete in cloud

German software group SAP is planning a restructuring programme that will cost up to EUR 950 million in order to compete in cloud business, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reports. SAP expects that a total of 4,400 jobs could be cut as result of the programme, 1,200 of them in Germany. The programme also intends to retrain employees or redeploy them to other positions, said CEO Bill McDermott.
