Saudi Arabia internet users exceed 18 mln

The number of internet users in Saudi Arabia reached 18.3 million at the end of the second quarter, equal to over 60 percent penetration, according to a report released by the Communications and Information Technology Commission. The report also counted 20.7 million mobile broadband subscriptions at the end of June, up from 14.3 million six months earlier. Fixed broadband users numbered 3.18 million, versus 2.92 million at the end of 2013. This is equal to 48.4 percent of households.
