Saudi Arabia launches USD 18 billion plan to build data centres

The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has launched an USD 18 billion plan to build a network of large-scale data centres across the country. The ministry said the government is aiming to transform Saudi Arabia into the region's main data centre hub, and is working closely with the private sector, including local and international investors, to achieve this goal.
