Scottish Cabinet Secretary says he will resign if R100 fails to deliver

Fergus Ewing, the Scottish Government's Cabinet Secretary for the Rural Economy and Connectivity, has said he will quit if he fails to deliver on the Reaching 100% (R100) programme to deliver fast and reliable internet, with a focus on rural and island communities. Under the programme announced last year, the Scottish Government pledged an investment of GBP 600 million to bring superfast broadband to all by 2021.
