Senegal and Mauritania plan cross-border harmonisation in 900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands

Monday 20 August 2018 | 10:22 CET | News
Senegal's telecom regulator ARTP has hosted talks with its Mauritanian counterpart and representatives from the mobile network operators in the two countries to consider the way forward in harmonising the use of the 900 and 1800 MHz frequency bands for GSM, UMTS and LTE services. Among the recommendations proposed by the participants, the two regulatory authorities aim to adopt a plan of action on the 900 MHz band before the end of the year, with more talks planned on other areas of work identified in the meeting.
