Senegal Internet exchange Point to launch on 29 August

The official launch of the Senegal Internet Exchange Point (SenIX) will take place on 29 August, reports Cio Mag, quoting the head of the country's IT agency ADIE (Agence de l'informatique de l'Etat du Senegal), Cheikh Bakhoum. The SenIX project was originally launched in November 2015 by a group of over twenty partners (including Orange, Tigo, Expresso, Arc Informatique, CSU-Hayo, Excaf Telecom, Societe nationale La Poste, SNRER, Douanes Senegalaises and CTIC), with the support of ADIE and the country's national regulator, ARTP.
