Senegal regulator announces new lower charges for USSD service providers

Thursday 9 July 2020 | 18:24 CET | News
Senegal telecom authority ARTP has approved a further reduction in the charges that market players have to pay to access USSD codes, following the cuts introduced last year. The decision reduces the costs per session, with drops ranging from 50 to 55 percent across the three price tiers on offer. The fixed monthly charge remains unchanged at XOF 300,000, while the price for the optional 'VPN' subscription has been cut by nearly 92 percent, from XOF 150,000 to XOF 12,500.
