Senegal regulator asks Orange to suspend changes to Illimix mobile plans

Senegal's regulator ARTP said that it has demanded the suspension of the recent changes introduced by Sonatel within the Illimix mobile range, marketed under the Orange brand. The decision was taken following strong opposition from consumers, said the regulator, particularly on the revamped pricing of the plans. In a statement, Sonatel acknowledged ARTP's request and said that it would engage with all parties involved in the ongoing dialogue on the Illimix changes.
