Senegal to move all government data to Huawei-run data centre

The Senegalese government will move all of its data and digital platforms from foreign servers to a new national data centre in an effort to strengthen its digital sovereignty, reported French radio broadcaster RFI. The move risks making the country's digital infrastructure fully dependent on Chinese technology, said RFI. At the launch of the centre, President Macky Sall instructed government agencies to migrate all state data and platforms to the data centre.
