Sentech puts contract to supply digital set-top boxes out to tender

South African signal distributor Sentech is seeking a five-year standing supply contract agreement with a set-top box (STB) manufacturer, or original equipment manufacturer (OEM), to co-develop and supply receivers for the unsubsidised market, The ITWeb reported. Sentech is specifying feature-rich services for digital terrestrial television (DTT), direct-to-home (DTH) and IP networks, or combinations thereof. The contract will have an option to extend for three more years.
