Serbian household mobile phone penetration reaches 90.5%

A survey conducted by Serbia's Statistics Bureau on the use of ICT has revealed that 90.5 percent of households have a mobile phone, compared with 90.2 percent in 2016. It found that 99.6 percent have a TV set (97.8% in 2016), 47.5 percent have a laptop (39.2% in 2016) and 68.1 percent have a PC (+2.3% y/y).

Home broadband penetration was 68.1 percent (+3.3% y/y), of which ADSL accounted for 48.7 percent and cable for 42.8 percent. Mobile 3G internet is used by 53.6 percent.

The bureau found that 58.4 percent of households in Serbia subscribe to cable TV. More than 1.63 million Serbians have made online purchases (+180,000 over 2016).
