Sercomtel sees over 50% drop in payphone vandalism

The numbers of vandalism acts against Sercomtel's public telephones has seen a reduction of over 50 percent this year compared to the first four months of 2019, reports Bonde. The fist four months of this year saw 25 cases of vandalism, compared to 59 cases last year. The reduction in vandalism is attributed to the low use of the appliances, the withdrawal of about 30 public telephones per month from service in Londrina, and the withdrawal of public phones from risky locations.
