Sercomtel to install fibre in Londrina to support facial recognition

Sercomtel has signed a contract with the Municipality of Londrina for the installation of fibre that will be used for the transmission of images in HD, according to 24 Horas. From January, the city of Londrina will install at least 102 new security cameras integrated to the Municipal Guard Monitoring Center. The cameras will use the most recent facial recognition and vehicle license plate reading technologies. The goal is to increase the number by 100 new cameras installed per year. The aim of the project is to reduce illegal acts and prevent vandalism actions in places and public buildings.
