SFR cuts ad spend 5.2% in 2012, Orange and Bouygues by less

Orange France, SFR and Bouygues Telecom all decreased their advertising expenditure in 2012, according to Kantar Media's ranking of the country's ten biggest advertisers. Orange, ranked third, cut its ad spend by 1.2 percent to EUR 332.4 million last year, seventh-ranked SFR by 5.2 percent to EUR 277.5 million and in tenth place Bouygues Telecom by 0.9 percent to EUR 228.6 million. Overall investment in TV ads rose by 4.5 percent, driven by strong growth on DTTchannels. Internet advertising only rose by 3.3 percent.
