SFR launches on-demand video games on TV

French mobile and broadband operator SFR has launched an on-demand video game service after a 9-month test period. Customers play the games directly on their TVs and can choose from around 30 games, with the catalogue updated monthly. The service is mainly aimed at families and occasional game players. Games are played via the STB's remote control or a game pad (USB standard or one sold by SFR). There is no need to download the games that are played in solo mode, by several people on the same TV set, or online with other neufbox subscribers. It costs EUR 1.99 or EUR 2.99 to play a single
