SFR satellite service obtains 'Broadband for all' label

SFR has obtained the "Haut debit pour tous" ("Broadband for all") label, introduced in 2008 under the government's plan to achieve universal broadband access by 2012, Echos du Net reports. To qualify, a service must be available over 100 percent of the territory of mainland France, offer at least 512 kbps downloads and cost less than EUR 35 per month. SFR been added to the list thanks to its SHD 2.4 GB per month satellite internet package, which uses Eutelsat's Tooway service.
